Wildpostings campaign for JOHNNY VALENTINE CHAINS– summer 2022

Wildposting campaign for SWEAT! –winter 2021

NYC VOTES (2020)

The objective for this project was to create ten posters in the style of wild postings to be displayed on a surface in a space that communicates a PSA message. The message I chose to focus on for my PSA was voting. The message is simple and clear: as citizens, it is our responsibility to vote. These wild postings remind passersby of just that, offering a URL link to learn more or get registered if necessary. The idea behind these posters was to use a hand holding up a peace sign as a substitute for the letter V in the word vote. This not only makes for creative and playful interaction with reading each poster, but it also carries a subliminal message of peace and power in relation to voting. The color scheme I chose was initially just red, blue, and yellow, the primary colors. This color scheme is generally agreeable and easily identifiable. For the second round of posters, I created an additional five posters in which the color scheme changed to green, yellow, and purple. I chose to keep the yellow as a constant between the two sets of color schemes to create a sense of unity between all ten posters. Ideally, these posters would be posted in high traffic areas several months before election day this year to allow New Yorkers to be reminded of this important date and prepare accordingly.
